Things to do on a cloudy or rainy day

-The Cape May County Zoo is big with lots of things to do and see...Take exit 11 off of the Garden State Pkwy (S).  Admission is free, but donations are appreciated.  Get your maps and directions at the front desk.  Zip Line adventure here too!  Call Tree to Tree for reservations at 609-388-8289.

-Further south on the Pkwy will take you to victorian Cape May where you can take a horse and buggy tour of turn-of-the-century living, eat at exquisite restaurants, and shop at antique stores.  The Cape May Ferry is a fun boat ride, and at Cape May Point, there is an historic light house.

-The Wetlands Institute has a great nature trail.  Make sure to call ahead of time at 368-1211...Located on 1075 Stone Harbor Blvd. (Exit 10 GS Pkwy).

-Story Book Land is located on The Blackhorse Pike (Rt. 322).  Fun for smaller kids and closed during heavy rains.  Call 641-7847.

-Shopping at the Hamilton Mall is only 20 minutes away.  You can have lunch at TGIF's, Chili's, or AppleBee's.  Peir 1 and Target are close by too.

-Chuck E. Cheese's is a blast for kids located at 4215 Blackhorse Pike.  Great for birthday parties, pizza, and collecting tickets to trade in for cool stuff.

-Also, on the Blackhorse Pike is a bowling ally at Tkac'z King Pin Lanes.  Call 641-5117 for reservations.

-Atlantic City is full of surprises as well.  Besides casino action and shows, there is the Historical Gardner's Basin with it's ocean life center.  Call 348-2880 X 10 for more information.  Many fine restaurants such as Bobby Flay's at the Borgata and musical acts galore.

-Also, in Atlantic City there is a Ripley's Believe it or Not Museum.  Downtown outlet shopping is close by if you park at Bally's.  There's an Apple store nearby too.

-Our game room is open until midnight and board games are available at the front desk.

-At 34th St. there is a Kid's Castle playground, and a shell museum.

-Also, amusements, arcades, miniature golf and excellent pizza on the boards.

-There is a historical museum and a library at our community center located at 17th and Simpson. Shopping on Asbury Ave. as well.  On Tuesday's, Asbury Ave. has family entertainment with musicians and other neat things.

-There is a small golf course in OC at 26th St. and Bay Ave.  Call 399-1315.

-Wave runner rentals, parasailing, and charter fishing still run on cloudy and light rainy days.  See desk for possible discount coupons books.

-Jersey Shore Children's Museum...Hands-On interactive experience with TV news, Hospital ER, Dentist office, Dinosaur dig, NBA center court, car factory, post office, etc. for ages 1-10 located in the Hamilton Mall Mon-Sat 10-4, Sun 12-4. Phone 641-5726.

-Create your own pottery and mosaics @ Glazed Over located @ 935 Asbury Ave…398-8880.

-Check out our new skate board park between 5th and 6th street on West Ave.

-Walk the new bridge at 9th street and check out the fishing spots while you're there.

-Bike riding on the boardwalk until noon.
